Job Description – GenC Role
Selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Understanding business requirements and raising clarifications
- Developing, testing, debugging, and deploying code as per specifications
- Creating technical documents and low-level designs
- Developing test scenarios based on data requirements
- Working in an Agile SDLC environment
- Identifying and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
- Proactively resolving issues and mitigating risks
- Participating in project meetings and technical discussions
- Delivering reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions
- Continuously upskilling and reskilling in new technologies
- Collaborating effectively within team environments
- Demonstrating strong communication skills
This role provides hands-on exposure to real-world IT systems and enterprise development practices.
Eligibility Criteria of Cognizant GenC Hiring 2026
Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements to apply:
- Eligible Batches: 2024 & 2025
- Qualification:
B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech (specific engineering streams only)
Streams like Leather Technology, Food Technology, Fashion Technology, etc. are excluded - Academic Criteria:
- Minimum 60% in X, XII, Diploma, UG & PG
- No rounding off (59.9% is not allowed)
- No standing arrears at the time of joining
- Minimum 60% aggregate in the pursuing degree
- Work Flexibility:
Willingness to work from any Cognizant office, shift, or technology - Nationality:
Indian Nationals / OCIs residing in India
